Schneider, the French consumer electronics brand founded in 1934, has entered the Indian market with a new audio range. It starts at a 20W portable Bluetooth speaker and tops out at a Dolby Atmos home theatre system. Six products sit across three families, Enerza, ClubX and Aureon, and the range is listed on Amazon.
A French name with more than 90 years behind it
Schneider was founded in France in 1934 by two brothers, Jacques and Sacha Schneider. The pair were pioneers of radio and television design in the country. Among the brand’s early creations was the Pygmée radio set, one of the first attempts to miniaturise a radio.
Today the name covers home appliances, televisions, audio products, computers and power tools. Its products follow four pillars: intelligent performance, French design elegance, emotional living and accessible premium.
How Schneider is entering India
The route in is a strategic licensing agreement with Brandverse, announced from Paris on April 24, 2025. It covers Schneider-branded small domestic appliances, audio products and televisions, sold through both online and offline retail.
Brandverse is a subsidiary of World Digital Ventures and a brand enabler for global consumer electronics and lifestyle brands in India. After more than a year of planning a go-to-market strategy for Indian markets, it set the first wave of Schneider products, across audio and TV, to start from June 2025, with more categories to follow. The wider World Digital Ventures group also runs WOGOM, a B2B e-commerce platform with over 6,000 registered retailers.
Nirav Patel, CEO and Co-founder of Brandverse, put the aim this way: “We are excited to bring Schneider Consumer’s legacy of innovation and craftsmanship to Indian households through Brandverse’s deep market expertise.”
The audio range: three families, six products
The tagline over the range is Experience Every Emotion, and the line-up is built around it: music on a quiet evening, a family party, a movie night.
Enerza is the portable Bluetooth family. The Enerza HP20 is a 20W speaker with a triple-driver setup that gives 360-degree sound, plus treble, volume and bass knobs. It has Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio and Auracast, the broadcast feature that lets one source stream to many compatible speakers or headphones. Also on board: TWS (true wireless stereo) pairing, a 3.5mm AUX input and an IPX4 rating. It runs up to 10 hours on its 2,200mAh battery, and charging is over USB Type-C, with 80 percent reached in about an hour. A carry strap makes it easy to take along, so it suits a work desk, a bedside table or a picnic. Pair two units over TWS and a bedroom gets a stereo setup.
The Enerza HP60 steps up to 60W, with a wooden acoustic enclosure, an aluminium top panel and an integrated 30W woofer for stronger low-frequency output, backed by two tweeters. It is a 360-degree audio speaker. It supports Bluetooth 5.4, TWS pairing, a 3.5mm AUX connection and USB playback, with physical controls for volume, bass and treble. Playtime is up to 12 hours on a 4,400mAh battery, which suits a family afternoon where the music runs for hours and guests keep arriving.
The ClubX PS80 is the party speaker. It puts out 80W through dual 4-inch super-bass woofers and two tweeters, adds RGB lighting with an LED mode key and has a dedicated microphone input for karaoke. Bluetooth 5.4, TWS pairing, USB and AUX let it play from a phone or a pen drive. With an IPX4 rating, up to 12 hours of playtime from a 5,000mAh battery and USB Type-C charging, it works for gatherings that drift from the living room to the terrace.
Aureon is the dedicated soundbar and home theatre range for movies. All three models support Dolby Atmos, HDMI 2.1 with eARC and Bluetooth 5.3, and each comes with a 120W wireless subwoofer. eARC matters because it lets a TV send Dolby Atmos audio from its built-in streaming apps to the soundbar over a single HDMI cable.
The Aureon SB312 is a 300W RMS (600W peak) soundbar in a 3.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos configuration, with upward-firing speakers. It is built for a wider, more cinematic soundstage. HDMI eARC, USB, optical, coaxial and AUX inputs, Dolby Vision and HDR passthrough, dedicated sound modes and separate bass and treble controls come with it, and a wall mount kit is included. The slim body sits neatly alongside a modern television, which makes it a fit for a bedroom or mid-sized living room.
The Aureon SB512 moves to 360W RMS (720W peak) in a 5.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos configuration with upward-firing speakers, and adds two independent satellite speakers that connect wirelessly, cutting cable clutter. It also supports USB, optical, coaxial and AUX, with Dolby Vision and HDR passthrough, adjustable bass and treble, a dedicated surround volume control and a wall mount kit. HDMI-CEC lets it switch on and off with a compatible TV. Rear speakers count in action films, sports broadcasts and games, where effects can move behind the sofa.
The Aureon HT412 is the most complete system in the range: 360W RMS (720W peak) output, a 4.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos configuration, four independent, triple-driver satellite speakers with top- and front-firing drivers that connect wirelessly, and the 120W wireless subwoofer. In that notation, the first number is ear-level channels, the second is the subwoofer and the last is height channels for overhead effects. It supports CEC and HDCP 2.3, the copy-protection standard used by 4K streaming devices, along with Dolby Vision and HDR passthrough. Bluetooth 5.3, AUX and USB-C inputs are on board. Bass, treble and surround levels are adjustable, and a compact LED HDMI eARC dongle connects to the TV. It suits a room that doubles as the household’s movie space.
Innovation at the core
From the Pygmée radio to a Dolby Atmos home theatre system, innovation is the thread through the Schneider story. The brand has long stood out for the quality and elegance of its products, and specialist critics praised its innovation. Indian homes today want global brands and good design in their soundbars and home theatres.
The spec sheet shows where that innovation lands. Bluetooth 5.4 runs across the Enerza and ClubX speakers, with LE Audio and Auracast on the HP20, while all three Aureon systems pair Bluetooth 5.3 with Dolby Atmos, HDMI 2.1 and eARC. Output climbs from 20W to 360W, so there is an entry point for a desk and another for a living room.
Brandverse is the other half of the plan, a brand enabler bringing market expertise and retail reach to the Schneider name. The launch covers online and offline retail, and Patel said: “Our aim is to make this high-quality innovation accessible to Indian consumers through our robust distribution network and established retail partnerships.”
