📰 BREAKING: China Using Pakistan as ‘Live Lab’, Says Indian Army Deputy Chief

Pakistan Army displaying Chinese weapons during military drillJuly 4, 2025, New Delhi — In a sharp revelation, India’s Deputy Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Rahul Singh, claimed that China is using Pakistan as a live battlefield laboratory to test its military weapons and intelligence systems. The comment comes amid rising concerns over the growing strategic collaboration between Beijing and Islamabad.

🔍 81% of Pakistan’s Military Gear Comes From China

According to Lt Gen Singh, 81% of Pakistan’s defence imports between 2019 and 2024 came from China, including drones, missiles, and surveillance equipment.
“This is more than just support—it’s a full-scale testing arrangement,” he said during a defence strategy seminar in Delhi. “China is watching how their weapons perform in a real war-like environment, without risking its own soldiers.”

📡 China Gave Pakistan Real-Time Intelligence During Operation Sindoor

Singh pointed to Operation Sindoor, India’s swift military response to the April 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam. He revealed that during the 4-day conflict in May, Pakistani officials seemed aware of India’s missile deployment and positions even before action began.
“Their DGMO told us, ‘We know your vectors are primed—pull them back,’” Singh noted. “That information could only have come from China’s surveillance and satellite data.”

🛰️ Turkey Also Backed Pakistan With Drone Support

Beyond China, Turkey also provided drones and logistical aid to Pakistan during the brief conflict.
“We were effectively fighting three adversaries at one border,” Singh said. “Pakistan in front, China behind it, and Turkey supporting from the sides.”
This multi-layered alliance raises serious concerns about regional security dynamics and possible two-front threats for India in the future.

🇮🇳 India’s Defence Response: Urgent Upgrades Needed

India’s military is now fast-tracking its air defence, electronic warfare, and AI-powered systems to counter such multi-source threats.
“We need an Indian version of the Iron Dome,” Singh emphasized. “Loitering munitions, counter-drone tech, and integrated early warning systems are now a top priority.”
The Army is also pushing for indigenization of critical tech and reducing reliance on foreign suppliers.

🧠 Expert Analysis

Military experts say this is a clear example of proxy warfare, where a major power (China) uses a smaller nation (Pakistan) to test and display force.
“China is applying its ancient strategy—‘kill with a borrowed knife,’” said Major General (Retd) A.K. Sinha. “India must now treat every regional skirmish as part of a much bigger geopolitical test.”
